• Goal Setting, problem solving, and decision making and how to plan so that goals can be achieved.
• Motivation, both internal and external, how learning styles affect a student’s motivation to learn and succeed, and how failure affects motivation.

This book is directed toward the student who is an under achiever. It outlines 7 steps to success: Self- Confidence, Goal Setting, Motivation, Time Management and Organization, Study Skills, Tests and Other Assessments, and Dealing with “The System”. Each of these steps is outlined in a chapter giving easy, practical activities for the student.
It comes with a CD to reproduce the activities.
This book hits close to home, having an underchieving son and other extended family members. I can see these activities as helpful in putting them on the right track.
