Ms. Hutton holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum from Ashland University. She has served as a teacher, coordinator of gifted programs, adjunct professor, and as a facilitator of professional development courses for teachers.
Ms. Hutton’s teacher resource book American History Detective is in its third edition, is often referenced in scholarly works as best teaching practices and has been presented at the prestigious teacher training workshop at Colonial Williamsburg.
Ms. Hutton is currently president of the educational software company Reinvent Recess Digital, LLC, that specializes in reading comprehension mobile applications. The only reading software designed around the concept of metacognition. Ms. Hutton’s applications have appeared on the iTunes top 100 charts and have been downloaded all over the world.
She has appeared on television, newspaper, and radio including nationally syndicated talk radio, providing expert analysis of various educational topics.
