Enrichment Study of Families using The Keeping Quilt

Second in our series of enrichment for the primary grades is “Families.´ The authors correlate this resource to Standards and Performance Expectations for Early Grades from NCSS, as they present 9 activity-based enrichment lessons to complement The Keeping Quilt by Patricia Polacco.

The activities focus on families and address the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy, involving primary students in active learning experiences. Included are reproducibles, assessment scales, and additional curriculum activities that differentiate the lessons.

Activities are cross-curricular and all lessons include objectives, performance expectations, materials, instructions, assessment rating scales and additional activities. Use these lessons with the whole group, small groups, or in learning centers.
