Research is essential in the Common Core Standards and that skill and its corresponding reporting out is a necessary skill for the 21st century workforce.
Polette provides several examples (i.e. in Disasters – the Chicago Fire, the Great Blizzard of 1888, the Johnstown flood, the San Francisco Earthquake, the Titanic, the Molasses Disaster, and Hurricane Katrina) and them offers several reporting out strategies for each disaster and a completed model for each of those strategies. Blank patterns are included for duplication.
