1 review for Smart Studying Book 2: Using Your Power Base

  1. Loyal Customer

Smart Studying: Using Your Power Base (Book 2) is an outstanding resource for any student, but it is especially geared for those in fifth grades and up. Like Book One in this series, Smart Studying: Using Your Power Base (Book 2) is an excellent idea for the visual learner. Each page is filled with graphics, sparse text in varying sized fonts, and great information ranging from how to read text to how to find and use people as a resource. Chapter one in this handbook is identical to the first chapter in Smart Studying: Turning on Smart Power (Book One) in that it explains how to use the handbook. Other chapters teach how to read different kinds of text, how to take notes, how to write different types of essays, how to do research, how to write a research paper, how to take tests, and how to find and work with resourceful people. Also like Book One, Book Two does not have to be read in any particular order. In fact, the authors suggest that the readers take a “mental bungee jump” to the appropriate place in the handbook that best fits their needs at any given time. The handbook has an attractive cover and is appropriately titled, Smart Study-ing: Using Your Power Base. I highly recommend this handbook for students in grades five and above.
