Book 2, recommended for older students 4th – 6th, focuses on Oh, the Places You’ll Go, The Lorax, Hooray for Diffendoofer Day, The Butter Battle Book, and Bartholomew and the Oobleck. Book 2challenges students using Seuss books that have deeper meanings. Topics include pride, the Cold War, protecting the environment, and planning one’s future.

Each Book begins with an exploration of Dr. Seuss himself. The stories that follow first present from Dr. Seuss to the student a postcard related to the story. Then students choose differentiated activities either from a Tic-Tac-Toe board, a Spinner, from a deck of cards, or by rolling a cube, each side describing an activity. Reproducible activity pages help students apply skills using Bloom’s Taxonomy, Williams’ Taxonomy of Creative Thought, the Creative Problem Solving process, and Synectics.
