Postcards from Twain honors his invention of the scrapbook. Out of all the many inventions and get rich quick schemes Twain chased throughout his lifetime, the scrapbook with self pasting pages was Mark Twain's only successful invention that actually made him money. Students read the postcard from Twain and then proceed to work through activities provided on two different cubes for purposes of differentiation. The lower levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, (Knowledge, Comprehension, Application), are on one cube and the higher levels, (Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation), are on the other cube. Students can work on the appropriate cube according to their ability level. Worksheets are provided with more detail. Each activity should be added to the Mark Twain scrapbook. Includes Is He Living or Is He Dead?, The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg, The Story of the Good Little Boy and The Story of the Bad Little Boy, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, and The Prince and the Pauper.
