The newest book by math educator Ed Zaccaro contains 700 fun and challenging questions designed for advanced students in 6th grade and up. Each challenge page contains a question in each of seven curriculum areas: math, money, science, geography, history/government, language of algebra, and facts and factoids. Questions represent a range of relevant and important knowledge areas that will prompt students into further research and discussion. Teachers and homeschooling parents will find this a useful break from instructional time or for those times when students have finished their work and need something fun and educational to work on. Challenges could also be used as a question or problem of the day. Students will be motivated to test their knowledge and won’t even realize they are learning new things.
