Differentiating Lessons Using Bloom's Taxonomy

-         Bloom's Cards provide alternative routes to learning for ALL students.

-         Bloom's Cards are instructional tools that allow students to reach mastery, maintain mastery, or exceed mastery of standards-based lessons or skills.

-         Bloom's Cards are also supplemental instructional tools for remediation, enrichment, or acceleration of subject content.

Each set contains:

Easy-To-Follow Directions. Directions guide the use of the cards as independent learning activities or group activities for remediation, enrichment, or acceleration.

Teacher Overview Card. This card serves as a quick guide during use of the cards.

Student Activity Cards. Six color-coded cards with engaging discussion topics, questions, and activities at each level of the Taxonomy. Each card also contains Bloom's KEY words for that particular level of the Taxonomy. There are also black line masters of the cards to duplicate as needed.

Posters. Each of 6 colored classroom posters represents a level of the Taxonomy with the icon, specific content definition, and Key Words for that level.

Standards Alignment Card. This card helps teachers relate each activity to state standards. It includes standards used to create the cards and activities at each level of the Taxonomy.

Student Mastery Card. Teachers use this card to keep track of mastery of standards used in the activities.

Achievement Actions. These are a series of discussion topics, questions, and activities included on each card.

Activities - Things To Do! These are extended activities on each card that allow students to complete activities at each level of the Taxonomy.

Standards, Activities, and Assessment Planning Form. Teachers use this form to track standards and assessments.

Bloom's Taxonomy Chart for Students. This Bloom's Taxonomy Chart explains to students in easy to understand information how to use the Taxonomy and how it is used in learning.

My Personal Journal. Students track activities on a journal page.

My Response Record. Students use this record upon completion of Achievement Actions on each card.

My Reaction Record. Students use this record upon completion of major card activities.
