The Writing Process
Using Bloom's Taxonomy is a fundamental method of differentiating in your classroom in order to provide alternative routes of learning for diverse learners. In order to allow students to reach mastery, maintain mastery, and to move beyond mastery, teachers must provide students with appropriate resources. Included in the set:
The Teacher Guide that includes The Teacher Overview Card showing all levels of the Taxonomy, the discussion topics, activities, and questions for the content area (Math, Reading, Writing, or Research).
The 6 Student Cards on colored card stock, ready to laminate, present major activities for each group/team or class. Each Taxonomy Level is color coded to help the teacher keep track of each group or individual student as they work in a level of the Taxonomy. Achievement Actions is the area on each card that contains discussion topics, activities, and questions specific to that content area. These are based on the Key Words at each level of the Taxonomy.
The Standards Alignment Card is a complete list of standards used to develop the individual cards. Teachers can use this card to match standards (grade level objectives, expectations, or indicators) with lessons.
The Standards Mastery Card allows the teacher to track mastery of standards (grade level objectives, expectations, or indicators).
A Blank Lesson Plan is included for individual teacher use in planning lessons.
