The tiering strategy differentiates curriculum in the mixed-ability classroom, challenging students by manipulating the content, process, or product depending upon the students’ learning style preferences and readiness/ability levels.

Tiered Literature Lessons differentiates activities by tiering the process relative to the levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. The activities can be used with small, flexible groups, by individuals, or placed in learning centers as anchoring or enrichment activities.
